8. Public Involvement and Outreach

A public review process takes place following the
completion of the MIS/DEIS, in which the documents supporting the selection
will be made available to the public and all interested agencies and groups.
Public hearings are held in locations along the corridor to enable local
citizens and municipalities, as well as all other interested agencies and
groups, to make formal comments about the recommended alternative. These
hearings will be announced well in advance.
